Aborting is a usually a very controversial topic for any political candidate and seems like Barack Obama is in the middle of one! Life Always, a Texas-based anti-abortion group, has sparked controversy all over country by sponsoring anti-abortion advertising billboard in Chicago that shows a picture of President Barack Obama and reads: “Every 21 minutes, our next possible leader is aborted.”

The billboard was erected at 58th and State streets in Chicago’s predominantly black Englewood neighbourhood. The anti-abortion claims that it is part of a campaign to ‘encourage reflection on the disproportionate number of abortions among African Americans’.

Chicago Abortion fund denounced the billboard..

“The ongoing anti-choice movement to target women of color in cities across the country is both despicable and deplorable,” the group said in a statement. “Not only is the ad attempting to shame black women but placing a picture of the President Obama alongside the message is cynical and misleading.”Source: www.chicagobreakingnews.com

A similar controversial billboard in New York’s SoHo by the group was taken down just after one day.

The billboard pictured a young African-American girl next to the slogan, ‘The most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb’.

The group is definitely getting the intended publicity with the advertisement.
