Given Norway’s rich history, dating back as far as the 10th millenia BC, there are literally thousands of reasons why anyone would visit Norway. While I would love to give you my reasons, I think it would be best to show them rather than explain them.
I have composed a series of 30 great photos of Norway, any one of which is reason enough for me to make sure to visit the region soon. While her winters may be a bit harsh, the spring and summer months are spectacular. For those that love the outdoors, there are few places in the world as beautiful and majestic as Norway.
I remember while reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy my reaction to Slartibartfast’s description of Norway’s Fjords. While I was obviously incredibly entertained, I was at the same time incredibly curious. A little searching came up with some spectacular pictures, some of which may be seen below.
If you aren’t familiar with Norway, I highly recommend Wikipedia’s Norway page. It gives a great synopsis of Norway as a country with perspectives on its current state as well as historical.
But, for those wishing to visit, Norway’s official travel site is a great start. National Geographic also has a great Norway reference, as does WikiTravel.
If you aren’t sure whether or not to visit, I think the pictures below will change your mind.
