Israeli leftist opponents of the attack on Iran mounted a media campaign with purported leaks of the government’s preparation for the strike. One such ‘preparation’ was claimed a joint Israeli-Italian drill over Sardinia.
That, however, was a routine exercise planned months ago. Only 14 IAF jets took part and they flew just 500 miles, way less than any strike on Iran would involve.
Equally insignificant was Jericho-3 ballistic missile test launch. Israel has too few such missiles to inflict significant damage on Iran with conventional warheads, and risking a nuclear warhead to Iranian TOR-1M defenses would be problematic.
