Officials are still looking for the 4th pit bull involved in in the deadly mauling of 42 goats in the Lake Los Angeles area. Forty-two goats were slaughtered after the dogs descended on a property at 164th Street and Avenue Q Monday. Three of the four were captured but the fourth got away.

“It appears that the pack mentality set in in this particular incident,” said Aaron Reyes, deputy director of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control.

Reyes said the dogs were captured Monday night. “They just fed off one another’s energy and mischievous behavior,” he told The Times. Source:

The captured dogs were in good condition but had no identifying microchips or tags. Since the capture, a woman has come forward claiming that one of the dogs might belong to her.
