Any of you people have plans to go on a cruise? If yes, think about that! The world’s largest cruise ship called "Allure of the Seas" joined the Royal Caribbean fleet. "Allure of the Seas" is like a small town – it has 16 decks and 2,700 rooms and travels from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean at 22 knots. On board you can find (almost) everything you want.
The ship is a twin of another giant ship – “Oasis of the Seas”.
The vessel is 360 meters long, 64 wide and 65 high. This giant weighs 225,282 tons
The liner has 16 passenger decks and 24 passenger elevators. It can simultaneously accommodate 5,400 guests and 2,384 crew members.
In the vertical position the ship is 124 feet taller than the Eiffel Tower. The total area of the ship is about 4 football fields.
The ship is made of 500 000 individual parts, and to paint it was spent 158,503 gallons of paint.
Length of electrical cables on the ship is the distance from Fort Lauderdale to Alaska.
This ship is the first vessel to obtain a green label DNV (Det Norske Veritas). This label in the passport means that it is minimally polluting and damaging the environment.
On an outside "Allure of the Seas" is covered with a non-toxic, technologically advanced material that reduces drag, thereby increasing fuel frugality.
