With one of the most exciting games of the season, the seattle seahawks rallied back in the 4th quarter to send the game into overtime on a rushing touchdown by Marshan Lynch.
It was all Green Bay for the first 3 quarters quickly going up 16-0 in the first half, completely shutting down Seattle. Seattle finally kicked up the heat in the second and started rallying to make an amazing comeback.
The Seahawks started off slow, looking more like a college football team playing for their conference championship than a NFL team looking to go to the Super Bowl. But, as the 12th man started to rally in the 4th so did the Seahawks coming back from a 2 possesion game to take the lead late in the 4th. After a mishandled onside kick by the Packers Brandon Bostick and a “Beast Mode” run by all-star running back Marshan Lunch, Russle Wilson landed a prayer of a pass to convert the 2 point conversion putting them up by 3 with just minutes left.
In overtime, it was all Seattle. Scoring a TD on their first drive out with a stunning pass by Russel Wilson to seal the deal and sent them to the Super Bowl once again. Russel Wilson went 14 of 29 in his win against the Green Bay Packers and had over 200 passing yards. Marshan Lynch had 157 yards on the ground and ran for 1 touchdown.
New England on the other hand completely embarrassed the Indianapolis Colts and won comfortably by a score of 45-7.
The Patriots went up 14-0 in the first and never took their foot off the pedal crushing the Colts hopes of making it to the Super Bowl this year. Andrew Luck had a terrible game only completing 12 of 32 with only 126 passing yards with 0 touchdowns, 2 interceptions and only a 23.0 quarterback rating.
Some attribute the loss to the third year quarterback, Andrew Luck, and his nervousness on the field. Other may say that the pending rape charge of the Colt’s linebacker Josh McNary had lowered the teams moral. Regardless, the Colts did not look good out there Sunday night and ultimately resulted in a loss.
Andrew Luck is still one of the most talented young quarterbacks in the league. I have no doubt that he will bounce back and learn from this loss.
